Solitude

With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, take time out and have a moment or two of solitude.

Sitting still
Observing
Listening to God
Initiating change
Tuning out distractions
Unplugging
Downsizing
Enjoying the peace

  1. Unplugging...downsizing...Great ideas. There are people designing "minimalist" homes---homes that are barely bigger than a closet, and it goes against the desire of so many other people: get a huge, mansion-like house. How much do we REALLY need?

  2. Barb,
Amen! I was thinking the other day that I have no mementos of my mother's, but like my son reminded me, THINGS were never important to her; her faith was.

  3. Those are some excellent suggestions. It's so easy to get tied up in knots over all the hullaballoo of racing from one thing to the next. Not exactly the true meaning of Christmas.
