A Nutty Kind of Day

I recently did a basket to be sold during a silent auction. The contents included goodies with nuts.I attached the following poem to the basket.

The tire goes flat at work in the parking lot.
It’s a nutty kind of day.

Your child’s teacher wants to have a conference-NOW!
It’s a nutty kind of day.

An unforeseen bill shows up in the mail.
Yes, it’s a nutty kind of day.

Did that red light camera just take your picture?
It’s still a nutty kind of day.

Enjoy this basket and have a nutty kind of day.
When was the last time you had a nutty kind of day?
What is your favorite nut? (I did not say, who)

  1. I had a nutty kind of day on Friday. My son convinced me to take in an abandoned puppy. One of the selling points was that it was a boy. After arriving with the pet carrier, I discovered that it was a girl. You'd think a sixteen-year-old would know the difference! Once it turned some sad, sad eyes on me, and I saw how emaciated it was, I couldn't refuse the puppy because of the gender.

  2. Nutty is another name for Linda. Glad you're back, Barb.

  3. My favorite nut is a cashew and nutty days can be too frequent but fortunately I can't think of the last one. Blessings to you today.

  4. Cute poem, Barb! I didn't get to see your basket Saturday, and I'm looking forward to seeing it at the auction. ALL my days are nutty ones, and most ALL of my friends are nutty ones, too! in YOU! :)
And what? No peanut butter and chocolate??!! :D
