In the Midst of a Storm?

Storms come and go in our lives. Some are small and some are quite large. I hope the following poem helps if you are in the midst of one right now.

Calm
Peace, be still, the disciples heard Him say.
They were in a boat after a long hard day.
A storm had come up, taking them by surprise.
But Jesus was resting and had closed his eyes.
The disciples were fearful and said He didn’t care.
But as always, Jesus was truly aware.
He calmed the storm and all were at rest.
What storm is keeping you from your best?
Give it to God this very day.
Peace, be still, you’ll hear Him say.
(based on Mark 4:37-41)

  2. Barb, this is a most reassuring poem, one that takes me back to my Sunday School days as a child.

  3. How true it is - all we have to do is give it over to God and he'll sahre the burden. Thanks.
