End of the Month

Wow, February was a blur. Or was that my eyesight? I did turn an amazing age this month. I do not make yearly resolutions. I make monthly ones. For this new month coming up, I really need to watch what I eat. No, I don't mean watch it as I eat it. My waistline needs help and I know it's from all those visits to a certain eat place that my granddaughter and I frequent. So I plan to exercise faithfully and curb those visits. I also want to be more consistent with my Quiet Times. I have noticed that my creative juices flow more smoothly when my time with the Lord is consistent. When I don't make time to spend with Him, my writing is a struggle. He is the Creator, so it stands to reason that spending time with him will affect my creativity. What is one new thing you plan to do in March or perhaps continue doing?

  1. Like you, Barb, I am trying to watch what I eat and make more conscious choices. I am dismayed by my belly. It seems to have taken over its own zip code.

  3. I am working, very diligently in this month of February, to remain steadfast in my yearly resolution to "Be Not Afraid." When it has seemed like burdens were becoming too heavy I've reminded myself, sought God's peace and held the fears at bay. It's taking work though.

  4. Well, Barbara, looks like many of us are in the same boat. I constantly try to lose weight. This month I'm going to eliminate quite a few carbs and swim at least three times a week.Good luck! Susan

  5. I usually concentrate on reshaping my body with pilates. This gives me quick and pleasing results, elongating my body and making me feel great. I've decided that i will be eating like a horse until the dirt pats me in the face, so I'd rather sweat and work-out to alleviate excessive weight gain. I love to eat!!! About having your time with God before writing...I feel the same way. If I will take time to "be" with Him, my thoughts become organized and I accomplish so much more! Blessings!

  7. I know this is late-- But I have decided to take a break from Facebook and the "connection" it provides. My brain needs a break from the overload of information and connection it provides- If anyone needs to tell me something- They can call, email, or write me a letter!
