Gateway to the West it is called.
Stand under it and you're in awe.
This stainless steel arch is a sight to see,
As it stands along the Mississippi.
People who come from miles around,
Must stop to visit when they're in town.
Go up in it if you dare,
And tell your friends you were there.
You just answered some of the questions I asked you! Looks like you had fun! sandie
ReplyDeleteDo you ever run out of rhymes, Barbara? My guess: probably not.
ReplyDeleteI watched the arch being built from my high school study hall. You can make a rhyme anytime.
ReplyDeleteI love your writing. It inspires me! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWhen my cousin was in 6th grade, on a school trip to the arch, they got stuck for 6 hours in those mini elevators. I wasn't too keen on going up knowing this, but I did. Go me.
ReplyDeleteNope! Not me! I will NEVER ride up to the top of The Arch! Besides the height factor...there's the claustophobic factor! Those tiny elevators hold about 2 people!
