A Big Endeavor

Now that Spring is here, many families will be visiting our wonderful zoo. The following poem is in its honor.

It took a lot of planning,
To put this zoo together.
Families love to visit here,
Especially in great weather.
There are many different habitats.
For every living thing.
From the largest gray elephant,
To the smallest birds that sing.
Rock formations, waterfalls, and clear streams,
To delight the eyes and a naturalist's dream.
There are lots of jobs that need to be done.
Some by groups of two or three,
Others performed by one.
Come enjoy the St. Louis Zoo whenever you can.
Remember to give the workers a great big hand.
