The fat little squirrel,
with a fluffy grayish brown tail,
scampering across the wet grass,
looking for his stash of nuts.
Will he remember where they are?
Is that a satisfied smile on his face
as he holds up a nut in his little paw?

I have to laugh at them sometime. We have two that chase one another down the fence, fall off, run in circles and dig like crazy.
ReplyDeleteOur house was vacant for two years before we bought it and squirrels were fearless in our backyard. We have had a terrible time with them eating the plants and burying pecans from next door!
